A friend was just asking me if I considered it vegan to eat the partially digested grass inside a hunted dear’s stomach (dear omnivores who don’t believe we get questions like the ones at the beginning of this piece, please take note).

Despite the question, this friend is respectful and genuinely curious, so it led to an interesting discussion. One thing I brought up is what you did — there may be circumstances where killing animals would be necessary for human survival, but those are not my circumstances. I have access to a wide variety of vegan food, so I choose not to eat animals.
