Fun read! Really enjoyed this.

My parent-friends keep asking online what to do for their kids' birthdays during lockdown, and as I’m recommending a Zoom dance party, I’m super-careful to mention I’ve only taken part in them with our out-of-town friends.

Like, I’m so afraid of hurting someone’s feelings if they think people they know are having toddler dance parties without inviting them.

And before lockdown, because I read an article suggesting finding just one family to do playdates with and to both promise not to play with anyone else, I was convinced (and depressed) that our friends were all having minimum-6-feet-away playdates wirh other families, just not with us.
