Hey, so I haven’t read your piece, but I see a slur in your headline, so I wanted to bring this perspective to your attention, There’s No Grace for Racial Slurs by Sam McKenzie Jr.:

“She tells me she was always different. I think to myself how white people always think they are different and immune.

Then Ms. Rose says she has never said the n-word in her life.

But she said the actual n-word with all its inglorious letters to say she has never said the n-word. Apparently, she didn’t realize the n-word always counts for me.”

And, Sam, I’m not tagging you with any intention of you needing to read this guy’s thing or say a word. I just thought others could benefit from your great writing.
