I agree it was poorly done, but I think the intention— which failed —was to make the audience believe, along with Littlefinger, that they were fighting, but the big reveal was it was all a ruse? My husband and I recently did a rewatch and tried so hard to figure out when the moment was when they teamed up to put on a show —Was any of their fighting real? And we still have no idea.
