I hope that the hardworking editors of publications make some good money on Medium by putting their own writing front-and-center. Like, almost every reader/writer of publications claps for the editors’ writing, so I imagine, for the big publications, it adds up.

But, yeah, they can choose to elevate the authors who pay them. Whatever. They don’t owe us anything.
