I LOVE THIS PIECE! I know from your other essay how hard it was to show this to your husband, but I’m so glad you did. I relate so much, and this has been the subject of a lot of conversations with my husband lately.

I read another Medium piece (wish I could remember what it was) talking about this want-to-just-cuddle moment, and it was really helpful for me. I had my husband read it, and basically it was about clear communication, and starting tender touch off with, “I don’t want to have sex right now, but would you like to cuddle a little bit before we fall asleep?”
