I was excited. But also, like, if he hadn’t tipped even then, I would make up a story in my head about how he’d boycotted tipping. But that “tip” showed me he was capable of tipping and yet thought that was a reasonable thing to do. I mean, really I just couldn’t wait to tell my employees about it.
