Lol. I was noticing a few super-dolled up parents at pickup and then looked down at my stained overalls I’d worn to pickup for three days straight, and it suddenly occurred to me that maybe I was supposed to care what I looked like?

Loved reading this. So many emotions I’m going through with the start of kindergarten, and one thing was the shock at just how much more stuff there is to do — waking up with an alarm, lunches, emailing my kid’s teacher about stuff my kid’s worried about, homework (in kindergarten!), etc. And so much more. Since she’s our only kid, I am getting more time, but it’s not near what I expected.
