Love this perspective that the boycott itself was segregation for a purpose!

During the Civil Rights era, there was a bus boycott, which I viewed as an even further form of segregation, until white people could be taught that public transportation was for everyone, and everyone has equal status. In other words, the segregation had a purpose. Black people willingly removed themselves from a space that wasn’t safe for them, until it could be.
