My kiddo’s 4 as well! When she was a baby, I read an article about giving kids blank paper rather than coloring sheets, so they’d practice creativity rather than just precision (both are important). My husband and I both sat down with her and all drew together on blank sheets of paper. Art is her favorite thing now, and I was shocked to see how flawlessly she colored things in when she tried more recently, with zero practice.

It’s a really apt metaphor for life. These kids are so good at reminding us what’s important!
