On a trip to NYC when my kiddo was 2, she became obsessed with these traffic signs, because they were everywhere (and we live in a one-stoplight town). On her own, she referred to them as White Walkers. The whole trip, she rode around on my back announcing, “White Walker! Red Hand!”

It was hilarious to me because it was the height of Game of Thrones. But it also freaked me out for the same reason you got freaked out.
