The parent one is the toughest for me. I know it would be good for my writing if I could do this, and I’ve written plenty of stuff that appalled and upset my parents already. But meanwhile my mom recently went out of her way to tell me,

“I do not give my consent for you to write about me, and that’s even more important after I’m dead.”
