Ugh. I just got in a thing with a friend where I was mentioning it’s weird that I model socially acceptable (coffee) addiction to my kid. And he told me I only think I’m addicted, because blah blah Americans are obsessed with the idea of addiction, but that’s all it is — an idea. That I only think I’m physically affected at 4:30 if I missed my 3:00 cup because American culture told me so.

This sounds like a FB convo, but it was real life. In front of the kids.
