Ugh. I think it’s great you are able to do this without her knowing.

I related to a lot of this. I considered a pseudonym but thought there was no way I’d be able to keep my writing secret; I’m just not good at hiding, and my mom is really good at stalking me online.

It is a constant issue though. There is so much I want to write about that I don’t because I think about her reading it. I actually feel freer when commenting than actually writing, because so far she doesn’t read my comments on other people’s pieces (I don’t think.)

She has texted me quite a few times since I started writing on Medium, begging me to change things or take them down, even though they’re not about her. It’s so exhausting.
