We get this one all the time! Even though I’m co-parenting with my husband, we’re both mostly doing art and gigs instead of “regular” work. She knows we work hard, and that we’re doing work we love. And she knows we have to say no to things we want sometimes, because we don’t have the money. She might choose to do something more reliable (or what appears to be reliable work, because you never know), but I think pursuing your dreams is a great model for a kid, as long as their needs are met.
