Weird. I made banana bread this week too, without knowing it was a thing.

Part of the appeal for me was my daughter’s home from school, and it’s a fun thing to make with kids (lots of mashing, and listening to Caspar Babypants’ Banana Bread).

I have to plan for banana bread, because otherwise I never have overripe bananas: I’m always freezing them for smoothies.

My husband will only eat banana bread with chocolate chips, and I think chocolate ruins banana bread, so I added some chocolate to just one side of the loaf. That’s love.
