My parents just gave me copies of their living wills. Even though, yes, they made them, so they are purposely thinking about these decisions, it was really interesting to me how unconcerned they were with the nuance and how much trust they wanted to put on me to make decisions, rather than them think through the questions now while they’re totally able. My mom kept repeating, “It’s just a standard form,” rather than thinking through the clarifications I asked about.
