Yeah, Sam’s piece made me think of Tyra Banks’s fat suit. At the time (2005, apparently), it gave me a lot of empathy; I mean, it’s something that I still remember. But it’s a really great point you’re both making (and feels obvious when I think about it) that there are plenty of people to tell actual stories of their experience without someone dressing up.
