Yeah, that Common Sense Media infographic says, “Measurements of toy male action figures exceed even that of the biggest bodybuilders.”

My husband was recently commissioned to draw an alligator-person for a logo, and the dudes he was doing it for wrote back saying, “We need it more jacked.” So he made it look ridiculously muscly, and still they were like, “It’s still not jacked enough!” The body dysmorphia was so clear to us, but they were just like, “It can’t look weak, or no one will like it.” So wild/sad.

“Many ways to be strong” — so true. I see you just started writing on Medium (welcome!) Maybe you want to publish something about male body image?
