You’re remembering correctly. Here’s the piece about the first time she dyed her hair, including pics of me. Pink was my most-used color. My hair’s natural brown right now, but she’s seen a lot of photos of me with dyed hair, and my husband had blue hair a few months ago. She actually wanted to do a lot of colors, but they all kinda ran together as purple (hard to get a 4-year-old to sit still, lol), but she was very happy with the purple.

Dying it was such a different experience than this cut, though. We were in the bathtub together for dying it, versus her shutting the door on me to cut her hair.

Today she’s extra huggy/lovey. I’m feeling really good about prioritizing her autonomy!
